Current is released under a Limited AGPL-3.0 license with commercial use restrictions — see the LICENSE in the GitHub repository for full terms.

Core URL shortening, click analytics, QR codes, RBAC, and multi-tenant namespaces are available in every self-hosted deployment.

OIDC/SSO integration is Current’s license-gated feature, validated against the PenguinTech License Server (license.penguintech.io) or a cached offline entitlement — never bypassed by an environment variable or config flag.
